The Ann Arbor Bicentennial Committee invites you to join the City of Ann Arbor and Destination Ann Arbor in celebration of Ann Arbor’s 200th anniversary with an evening of joy and community spirit. The event includes hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, music, a silent auction, a special poem, and the unveiling of a bicentennial-inspired tile. Members of the media are welcome to attend and document the event.

EVENT DATE: January 19, 2024

TIME: 6- 8 p.m. 

LOCATION: Michigan Theater, Ann Arbor, MI

MASTER OF CEREMONY: The celebration will be hosted by John U. Bacon, a renowned author, speaker, and educator known for his deep connections to Ann Arbor and Michigan. His engaging presence and knowledge of the area’s history will add to the evening’s festivities.

SPECIAL APPEARANCE: Aaron Dworkin

Join us for an exclusive performance by Aaron Dworkin, an esteemed artist and community leader. Dworkin’s contribution, including a special bicentennial poem, is set to be a highlight of the evening, showcasing the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Ann Arbor.
