On Saturday, March 14, Avery Lay, a former Chelsea High School standout, helped lead Grand Valley State Lakers to a 90-70 win over the Wayne State Warriors in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, held at GVSU Fieldhouse at 7:30 p.m., marked the first tournament game for the Lakers against the Wayne State Warriors.
Grand Valley State’s next appearance is scheduled for Monday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at GVSU Fieldhouse.
