Damon Bentley, a 27-year-old Detroit resident, was ordered on April 7 to stand trial in Wayne County’s 3rd Circuit Court on charges related to the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man from Westland. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that Bentley faces one count each of first-degree murder, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon stemming from an incident outside the Grand Lofts apartment complex in Southwest Detroit on May 4, 2025.
