Employers are being reminded that April 30, 2026 marks two important compliance deadlines: the removal of OSHA Form 300A from workplace postings and the filing of Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return.
These requirements are significant for businesses that fall under federal recordkeeping and tax reporting rules. OSHA Form 300A summarizes work-related injuries and illnesses from the previous calendar year and must be displayed in a visible location at the workplace from February 1 through April 30. Employers may remove this posting any time on or after April 30. Exemptions apply to companies with ten or fewer employees and those in partially exempt industries.
Additionally, employers must file Form 941 by April 30 to report federal income tax withheld from employee paychecks as well as Social Security and Medicare taxes covering wages paid during January, February, and March. However, if all required taxes have been deposited on time, an extended deadline applies; since the standard extension date falls on a weekend in this cycle, the adjusted deadline is Monday, May 11.
