I-94 to close for utility work in St. Clair County on April 12

DTE Energy crews will conduct overhead utility work on Interstate 94 between the Wadhams Road interchange and the I-94 Business Loop (Gratiot Avenue) interchange in St. Clair County near Marysville, requiring a two-hour closure and detour of I-94, according to an announcement on April 9.

The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, affecting traffic in the Marysville and Port Huron areas. The detour will direct drivers off I-94 at Wadhams Road Exit 262 and Gratiot Avenue Exit 266, with posted routes using Wadhams Road and Gratiot Avenue.

The Michigan Department of Transportation said that closing the interstate during this type of overhead utility work is necessary to keep motorists and workers safe.
