0Comments

The City of Portage operates a brush collection program that includes the collection of loose brush during the months of January, May, July, and October. The program also includes the collection of Christmas trees in January. For collection purposes, the city is divided into four collection zones which are scheduled for collection as follows:

Zone 1 – Week of January 2

Zone 2 – Week of January 9

Zone 3 – Week of January 16

Zone 4 – Week of January 23

If snow is present on your collection date, please brush the snow from the piles of brush so that our crews can readily identify the location of materials. The City of Portage Compost Facility (10905 Oakland Drive) will be open on Saturday, January 28 from 9 AM to 1 PM when Portage residents may drop off brush and Christmas trees. To view complete program details and a collection map, visit portagemi.gov/280.
