The March 2023 Employee of the Month is Claire VanderVelden.  

Claire is the Health and Wellness Program Manager at the Portage Zhang Senior Center.  She has been a part of the Senior Center team since September 2021.  During this time, she has played multiple roles in her position as the Health & Wellness Project Manager.  Some of her duties include managing the fitness programs and classes, overseeing the Fitness Center and orientations, development of the Pickleball program, health clinics including blood drive’s, vaccination clinics, and hearing screenings.  

Claire has received her Master Trainer Certification for the Matter of Balance Program and a Kitchen Management Certification for their lovely commercial kitchen.  She is honored to have such an efficient role in maintaining the health and wellness of our surrounding aging community.  She is also honored to share her time and efforts with such a supportive team who is always willing to jump in and help when needed.  Please help us celebrate this Employee of the Month!
