Washtenaw Intermediate School District issued the following announcement on Mar 15.
Do you know an outstanding high school leader? Nominate them TODAY for the Young Citizen of the Year award! The Young Citizens of the Year award recognizes outstanding community service on the part of local students.
To be eligible, at the time of nomination, students must be currently enrolled at a Washtenaw County public or private high school. In this context, community service is defined as service that is not connected to school-based clubs/groups/activities. All students who are nominated will be contacted by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation and are required to provide details of their service and 2 references for the review process.
Five (5) students will be announced as the Young Citizens of the Year in the May 8 edition of The Ann Arbor News.
Thanks to generous support from the Robert Bruce Dunlap Memorial Fund, each of the Young Citizens of the Year will receive a $3,500 scholarship to the higher education institution of their choice.
