We are deeply saddened to share that Sandy Wilkinson, WISD’s front desk attendant at our TLC administrative office, passed away unexpectedly last week on October 4, 2022. For many, Sandy was the “face of WISD” because she welcomed so many into the TLC.

We are doing our best to provide excellent service, and we deeply apologize if you experience any wait when you visit us at the TLC. We appreciate your deep care and understanding.

For those who met and knew Sandy, electronic messages and memories may be shared on her obituary page: https://colefuneralchapel.com/…/1217-sandra-lee-knoll…

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm with a service at 1:00 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel located at 214 E Middle St., Chelsea, MI, 48118. This will be followed by a procession to Maple Grove Cemetery for burial.

Our WISD community is invited to a Sunset Celebration of Life this week on Tuesday, October 11 at 5:30 pm at the WISD Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) located at 1819 S. Wagner Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103. It will be held outside the TLC front doors, and it will be an informal event with some short remarks, a moment of silence, and some “walk and talk” time to share memories along the trails. All are welcome to attend.

If you would like to send a card to Sandy’s daughter, Lizz, you may mail it to us at: Lizz Wilkinson c/o Washtenaw ISD, 1819 S. Wagner Rd., P.O. Box 1406, Ann Arbor, MI 48106-1406.
