City municipal offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25. 

In addition, there will be no curbside collections of trash/compost/recycling on Thanksgiving Day. Instead, regular Thursday collections will take place the following day, and Friday collections will be delayed to Saturday, Nov. 26.

US-41 signal upgrades in Houghton to cause lane closures June 2

Traffic signal upgrades at US-41 and MacInnes Drive in Houghton will take place June 1–3. Lane closures are scheduled for June 2 as crews install new equipment. Motorists should expect delays and exercise caution.
