We received a phone call with an urgent plea

On Sunday, November 13, 2022, we received a phone call with an urgent plea. The request was a big one, “We need turkeys and food supplies for our community, is there any way that you can help feed 40 families this Thanksgiving?” We weren’t sure if we’d be able to help because it takes time to put community programs together, but our officers could not let this call go unanswered. In a whirlwind of events, the picture came together beautifully. Yesterday, dozens of turkeys were hand delivered by patrol officers to homes in our community.

We want to #GIVETHANKS to our Ann Arbor Police Officers and staff who graciously donated over 40 turkeys and hundreds of dollars in Meijer gift cards. We also want to give a big shout-out to the A2 Saline Road Meijer crew who helped make this event happen. Aaron, Becky, Henry, and @rickatmeijer you all rock!
