Zumbrunnen pitches for Lawrence in 4-2 loss to Millikin in NCAA Division III matchup

At 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, the Lawrence Vikings, featuring former Pioneer High School standout Nathan Zumbrunnen, were defeated 4-2 by the Millikin Big Blue in NCAA Division III baseball play.

Workman Family Baseball Field served as the venue for the contest, marking the teams’ second meeting this season. The previous game, held Saturday, March 7, ended with the Vikings falling 12-1 to Millikin.

Zumbrunnen worked three innings on the mound, issuing two walks and striking out five.

The Vikings are next scheduled to face Cornell Rams at Ash Park Field on Saturday, March 28, at 12 p.m.
