Ann Arbor - Ypsilanti Regional Chamber recently issued the following announcement.

Inspire the next generation! Volunteer with the Hour of Code at AAPS

October 23, 2019

Got an hour? Volunteer with the Hour of Code at AAPS.

The Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS) is bringing the Hour of Code to every AAPS school during Computer Science Education Week (Dec 9-13). Learn more at hocataaps.org

To make it truly amazing, we need your help.

We need Tech Employees like you!

We need employees in IT, CS, Tech and related fields to serve as volunteers in our classrooms while students engage in the Hour of Code and other coding and programming activities.  Teachers will supply the activity.

 Increase Representation in Tech

We are particularly interested volunteers that represent the diversity of people who can be in the CS/IT field, including people of color and women as well as others looking to increase diversity in the field.

Opportunities for Coders and Non-Coders alike

Volunteers are needed for everything from assisting with a coding activity to telling students about your career or experience in the field. There are volunteer opportunities for coders and non-coders alike.
