Howell Police Department receiving Certificate of Accreditation | Senator Lana Theis Facebook
The Howell Police Department received a Certificate of Accreditation at a recent Howell City Council meeting.
Sen. Lana Theis (R-Brighton Township) was there to award the department.
"Congratulations to the Howell Police Department on becoming the 24th department in Michigan to achieve accreditation," Theis said in a Facebook post. "The Police Department was honored for their hard work and success by receiving their official Certificate of Accreditation from the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police"
The Howell Police Department prides itself in establishing "a tradition of providing quality police services to our community. We will continue to build on this tradition by providing outstanding service by highly motivated, highly trained, and well-respected personnel," CityofHowell.org cites.
George Basar is currently the chief of police and Scott Mannor is the deputy chief.
"The members of the Howell Police Department realize that in order to succeed in our mission, we must exhibit the highest standard of integrity and hold ourselves beyond reproach," CityofHowell.org cites.
