Ypsilanti Community Schools issued the following announcement on July 14.
Trumpeter Lin Rountree Special Guest
Jazz in the Parking Lot is next Friday, July 23rd, from 6-9 p.m. at YCHS Shadford Field (next to the high school and administration building).

A few highlights:
- This is a FREE event!
- Parking is available at the top lot by YCHS and Estabrook. No parking at Shadford Field
- Over 40 vendors have signed up! Non-profits, small businesses, plus food vendors!
- All students, no matter the school district, eat for FREE! We will have hamburgers and hotdogs for students only! Adults are asked to support the food vendors.
- Lin Rountree is one of the greatest trumpeters of our generation! We are excited to have him and DJ SuperHero for the evening!
- And most importantly--Enrollment Information and giveaways! We will give out 100 free Jazz in the Parking Lot posters to guests for joining us, plus a few Jazz in the Parking Lot T-shirts!
