Ann Arbor Public Schools recently issued the following announcement.
Dear Forsythe Staff and Students, Parents and Families,
Out of an abundance of caution, due to developing reports this evening emerging from a school incident earlier today, Forsythe Middle School will be closed, including all after school activities, tomorrow Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
Student and staff safety and well-being will continue as our top priority. Be assured that Forsythe administration, with the support of district leaders and law enforcement, followed all appropriate safety protocols in responding to the student incident earlier today. However, as a result of developing information late this evening, Forsythe will be closed for tomorrow.
AAPS continues to work closely with the Ann Arbor Police in addressing this matter.
The Michigan State Police OK2Say tip line is a valuable tool that allows students to confidentially report potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. Text: 652729 (OK2SAY) -8-555-OK2SAY (855-565-2729) - Email OK2SAY@mi.gov or download the OK2SAY app.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Thank you for your understanding, partnership and support of our students and of the Ann Arbor Public Schools, especially during these challenging times.
We look forward to welcoming all our Forsythe students and staff on Thursday for a successful finish to this school week.
