City of Ann Arbor Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan 20.
SCAM ALERT! Phone scammers have been very busy lately. We are receiving reports of calls to citizens which claim to be from Medicare, Social Security, and even our own officers.
Remember, legitimate agencies and companies will NEVER call you asking for your personal information or for payment. Just hang up!
