Ann Arbor Public Schools recently issued the following announcement.
The Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education meeting has been recessed to 7:00p.m. on March 2, 2022.
Regrettably, attendees at the meeting venue on February 23, 2022, created an atmosphere that was not aligned with the values of health, safety, and respect for our vulnerable community members.
It was clearly stated and posted that everyone who attends or participates in Board of Education meetings will adhere to Ann Arbor Public Schools District’s indoor masking requirement. The individuals refused multiple requests to wear masks thus prompting a recess.
Notice of the location for the reconvened meeting will be forthcoming pursuant to the requirements of the Open Meetings Act.
We are sorry for the inconvenience to so many caused by so few. The Board looks forward to conducting its business next week.
