Washtenaw Intermediate School District issued the following announcement on Apr 5.
Tom, Dexter Young Adult student, is a new teacher at Prospect Hill Farm in Grass Lake! After 6 years of learning with their Farm Connection program, Tom is excited to take on more responsibilities at Prospect Hill with the support of his Dexter YA classroom.
Prospect Hill's Meet the Teachers page describes Tom's enthusiasm and experience: "He has been here to witness and help with everything since the farm was just a vacant piece of land. He helped put our first fence post in, has learned how to take care of every animal, and is now interested in assisting with some of our Farm Connection classes and events. The student is turning into the teacher and a very valuable part of our team!"
