Keweenaw Peninsula Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Apr 13.
Our monthly Keweenaw Alliance Breakfast was held this morning, at the Bonfire Banquet Room.
Presentation included a discussion by Mary Babcock, Manager, City of Hancock, Eric Waara, Manager, City of Houghton, and Robert Tervo, Manager, Michigan Department of Transportation - Ishpeming Transportation Service Center.
Panel discussed the upcoming construction season, traffic flows, and heard project updates from the cities.
MDOT will begin the 2022 work on College Avenue on May 2, 2022 with expected completion September 16, 2022. Construction will take place in two phases.
Phase 1 – May 2, 2022 to August 11, 2022
Phase 2 – August 12, 2022 to September 16, 2022
