Parenting and Food and Nutrition

Tish Williams is a first-year teacher here at Lincoln and teaches Parenting and Food and Nutrition.

One of the first things that Tish noticed is the condition of the kitchen in her classroom. Ms. Williams states "Many of the items are extremely outdated and needed attention. I decided to put together an email explaining our situation and I sent it out to several popular chefs.  Never in a million years did I think that I would hear anything, but for the students, I was willing to try anything. My dad always says “a closed mouth does not get fed!”

Well, the Pioneer Women, a popular blogger and tv show host responded to my email, and we have been receiving box after box of kitchen items from her.  Ms. Williams has invited photographer Kim Gray to the classroom on Wednesday to take photos and put together a video as a thank you to Rhea Drummond. Here are some photos to share with the Lincoln Community.

Ms. Williams believes that it does take a village and the more we inform and publicize more people will make donations for the students.
