Sgt. Andrew Kirby recently graduated from the 38th Session of the Eastern Michigan University School of Police Staff and Command Executive Leadership Program.
The distinguished educational/training program prepares police officers and supervisors to work in an administrative capacity.
One of the assignments involved observing how police handle security at Little Caesars Arena (LCA) and Ford Field during major events. Some of the security techniques deployed there could also be applied to managing large crowds at Northville’s Ford Field, during the city’s numerous events, and even at the downtown street closures.
Kirby said, “The course gave me good information that will help me now as a supervisor and in the future.”
“This is a great accomplishment for Sgt. Kirby and the department,” said Police Chief Alan Maciag.
