There were 778 students enrolled in Manchester Community Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.5% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.2% of them were boys, and 46.8% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 91.6% of the Manchester Community Schools total enrollment.

Manchester Community Schools covers three schools within Washtenaw County with its main office in Manchester. Among them, Manchester Junior-Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of 376 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
