Eastern Michigan University (EMU) students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families are invited to participate in TRUEMU Night at Comerica Park on Thursday, Aug. 1. The event coincides with the Detroit Tigers' game against the Kansas City Royals, starting at 6:40 p.m.
Attendees who purchase tickets through the EMU package will receive a co-branded Tigers/Eastern Michigan quarter zip and contribute a $5 donation to the Student Emergency Fund. Walter Kraft, vice president for communications, commented on the event: "TRUEMU nights are a great way for Eastern Michigan students, faculty, staff, and alumni to get together for a fun night of camaraderie and school pride. Plus, the Tigers are playing some exciting baseball, and Kansas City is an important division rival. It will be a great night for a great cause!"
A pregame gathering hosted by the EMU Office of Alumni & Donor Engagement will take place from 5:10 p.m. until 6:40 p.m. at Party Plaza B behind Section 321. The event includes complimentary snacks and appearances by University officials and Swoop.
Founded in 1849, Eastern Michigan University serves over 13,000 students across various disciplines through its multiple colleges.
