Eastern Michigan University is set to host a watch party for Amazon Prime's "The College Tour," featuring ten of its students. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 16, at 12:30 p.m. in the EMU Student Center Auditorium.

"The College Tour," hosted by Alex Boylan, aims to showcase the diverse and inspiring journeys of students across the United States. The watch party will offer attendees a movie premiere atmosphere with a green carpet entrance, photo opportunities, popcorn, and candy. Katie Condon, vice president of Enrollment Management at EMU, will address the audience, and a special message from Boylan will be part of the event. An award ceremony and Q&A session will conclude the gathering.

Condon expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to highlight EMU students' experiences: “By giving viewers an authentic glimpse into the EMU experience, we're able to showcase the high-quality education and innovative resources that set our university apart,” she said. “This is a powerful opportunity to share how EMU prepares students for success in their careers and beyond.”

The episode features Elena Davis (junior in public relations), Hamzah Dajani (junior in finance and accounting from Amman, Jordan), Aniseh Jaber (freshman in exercise science from Brooklyn/Dearborn Heights), Wynton Love (junior in cybersecurity from Detroit), Kyle Martin (senior in environmental science from Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor), Lamarr Mitchell (graduate student in business administration from New Baltimore), Arnecia Paul (senior in elementary education from Detroit), Fah Pitaktouyhan (graduate student in human resources from Chonburi, Thailand), Christina Trotta (junior in data science and Spanish from Chesterfield), and Vheena Villareal (graduate student in educational leadership from Taylor).

Founded in 1849 as Michigan's second oldest public university, Eastern Michigan University serves nearly 13,000 students with over 300 majors through various colleges including Arts and Sciences; Business; Education; Engineering and Technology; Health and Human Services; along with its graduate school.
