Eastern Michigan University’s College of Business has been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the Best On-Campus MBA Programs in its 2025 Best Business Schools report. This marks the 21st consecutive year that the college has appeared in these rankings, which assess programs based on career outcomes, academic rigor, and admissions selectivity.

“We are pleased to again be named to The Princeton Review's Best Business Schools for 2025,” said Amy Hietapelto, dean of EMU’s College of Business. “This recognition is a direct result of the dedication of our faculty and staff to foster an outstanding educational experience as well as a testament to the drive and commitment of our students.”

The Princeton Review bases its rankings on surveys from administrators at 390 business schools and feedback from more than 34,700 MBA students across the country. More than 60 data points are considered during evaluation.

EMU’s MBA program received additional distinction by ranking No. 6 nationally for Best MBA for Human Resources. The HR concentration is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in human resources through small class sizes, flexible learning formats, and instruction from faculty with industry experience. In previous years, this program was also recognized with a LEAD Award from HR.com in 2021.

Students highlighted the collaborative environment within the program. According to one survey respondent: “Students are active on campus and are diverse in their interests, pursuits, and backgrounds. They thrive on teamwork and communication with each other.”

The College of Business offers a total of 27 programs and nine degrees at both undergraduate and graduate levels, serving over 1,560 students. Courses are available full-time, part-time, online, or in hybrid formats to accommodate different student needs.

“We strive to ensure a high-quality, impactful and affordable education that prepares our graduates well for rewarding careers in business. This accolade honors our ongoing efforts to provide an inclusive, relevant, dynamic, and academically rigorous environment that enhances the career success of our graduates,” Hietapelto said.

Rob Franek, Editor-in-Chief at The Princeton Review added: "The schools that made our lists for 2025 share four characteristics that inform our criteria for designating them as 'best': excellent academics, robust experiential learning components, outstanding career services, and positive feedback about them from enrolled students we surveyed. No b-school is best overall or best for all students, but to all students considering earning an MBA, we highly recommend these b-schools and salute them for their impressive programs."
