The Lansing Board of Water & Light opened its doors to Lansing-area students to celebrate Careers in Energy Week. Tours were held, Wednesday October 16 for local high school students to showcase different career opportunities in the energy industry.

Lansing Board of Water & Light hosted these Wednesday, October 16
Erickson Power Station, 3725 S. Canal Rd, Lansing – Tour, 10am followed by lunch and a panel presentation at REO Town Depot, 1201 S. Washington Ave., Lansing – Careers in Energy Week Presentation.
This was for Capital Area MI Works! High School Students. “We’re looking ahead to become the utility of the future, and part of that includes attracting the right talent to help us achieve our goal of providing 30 percent clean energy by 2020 and 40 percent by 2030,” said BWL Executive Director of Human Resources Michael Flowers. “We’re glad to open our doors to the next generation and show them what a career in the energy industry can look like.”
