Sen. Lana Theis (R-Brighton Township) recently took part in the Wreaths Across America ceremony in mid-December.
According to her Facebook page, the ceremony was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville and was the first of its kind to be held at that location.
Theis thanked the Fowlerville July 4th Committee for organizing the event.

Founded in 2007, Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization and program honoring veterans and fallen soldiers throughout the nation. The organization has more than 1,500 participating locations nationwide throughout all 50 states, in addition to 24 national veteran cemeteries in foreign nations.
Wreaths Across America's mission is to "remember the fallen, honor those who serve and teach our children the value of freedom."
