City of Milan issued the following announcement on Sept 21.
Please know that your City officials are working to protect our citizens and our infrastructure during this event.
Any vehicle in excess of three tons is subject to being ticketed. As many of you have observed, your police department has stepped-up enforcement in the detour area.
Additionally, this detour will in no manner negatively impact our city-wide events and festivals that are already planned. we will be shutting down appropriate roads so that our students and residents can enjoy their Homecoming Parade, and every City event will continue as planned.
