Greetings, Ann Arbor Public Schools Community,
We are excited to welcome our students and families back to school on Monday, August 29th. We are grateful and proud as we welcome our AAPS teachers and school teams, who continue their preparations for students and the new school year, during this next week.
We are delighted to share that our AAPS schools will be fully open for academic, enrichment and community activities during this 2022-2023 school year.
Preparations for 2022-23
The school district is bustling with activity as we prepare for the beginning of this 2022-2023 school year! We welcome you, our parents and our families to our Ann Arbor campuses as we look forward to the many upcoming back-to-school community events across our AAPS schools.
We share more key updates about our preparations and information for the new year in this brief Welcome, 2022-23 video.
Fall 2022 COVID-19 Health Guidance
Our goal is to keep students learning in school while balancing the risks of illness and transmission among students and staff at school. You may view the AAPS Fall 2022 COVID-19 Health Guidance here.
We continue to be grateful for family and community support and partnership. We are confident that by working together, we can support the health and safety of our students, staff and families throughout this school year.
More detailed AAPS COVID guidance, including links for parents/guardians to report cases, will be posted to the district COVID protocols page by August 26. School nurses will be available to answer questions and concerns as the school year begins.
As we approach this Fall 2022 opening of school in just a few days, we are pleased to turn the page to a brand new year. Our AAPS Welcome Mat is out, Team AAPS is busy preparing for our students, and we look forward to seeing everyone together at school soon.
Together, let’s make this an excellent 2022-2023 AAPS school year!
