This Weekend in Niles...

Happy First Fall Friday, everyone!  Check out the latest Weekend Rundown below to plan your trip through Niles…

First, head over to St. John’s Church located at 601 Sycamore for their Silent and Paddle Auction!  Hosted by Old Rugged Cross, it’s sure to be an exciting event.  You never know what you’ll find!  Doors open at 5:00pm, be sure to snag your spot.

Then, you and your littles can spend the day with the Apple Festival Crew at their Youth Day Spectacular on Saturday, September 24!  The fun starts at 9:30am with their Bike & Trike Race located at Ring Lardner Middle School.  Be sure to get there at 9:00am to register.  After that, head over to the Apple Festival Grounds for their Run for Reading Race at 11:00am.  Registration begins at 10:30am.  Then, line up for the Youth Day Parade at 12:00pm to step off at 12:30pm!  Wave to the onlookers and show off your best Niles smiles as you meander through the park.  There will also be a free meal and registration for prizes, plus live entertainment.  Bring the kiddos for a super, sensational Saturday and remember, the Apple Festival kicks off next weekend.  For more information, visit their website

Next, head over to the Niles Homegrown Market on Sunday, September 25, to experience a lovely fall farmers market.  Located at the corner of Front and Main, there is sure to be something for everyone.  From baked goods and sweet treats, to jewelry and clothing, you’re sure to find something you love.  The market takes place from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Finally, remember that City Hall will be closed from 7:30am-12:00pm on Monday, September 26, for staff training.  We appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Make the first fall weekend a great one in the City of Niles!
