Mayor Thanks Linda Hathaway for Decades of Community Service

At Monday's meeting of the Fenton City Council, Mayor Sue Osborn honored Linda Hathaway for her years of service to the community and working in July as grand marshal of the Freedom Festival Parade.

Osborn's proclamation cited the following contributions by Hathaway, who owns the Brad Hoffman Insurance Agency:

  • She became chair of the Chamber of Commerce Community Expo 30 years ago. She still serves in that role.
  • Has served as president of the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
  • Helps the Fenton Area Resource and Referral Agency as a behind-the-scenes activist, helping with events and fund development for the nonprofit.
"Her work ethic, positive attitude and her love of family and the Fenton community are true examples of sincerity breeding success," Osborn said. "We're so grateful for everything she's done to help the community."

Osborne's proclamation, which accompanied a plaque that holds a golden key to the city, said the appreciation was the sentiment of not only the mayor, but the Fenton City Council and the entire Fenton community.
