Respiratory Syncytial Virus

We continue to see a high volume of patients with respiratory illnesses like #RSV at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Here are some ways the community can support our teams as they work hard to manage this surge and provide exceptional care:

▪️  Wash hands often and stay home if you’re not feeling well.

▪️ Get vaccinated against respiratory illnesses like influenza. Visit vaccines.gov to search for vaccine availability or call your provider or the local health department.

▪️ If your child is not feeling well and their symptoms are not life-threatening, please seek care with your pediatrician or primary care provider.

▪️ Seek hospital emergency care if symptoms are worrisome and emergency care is needed. Emergency medical conditions can include difficulty breathing, dehydration and worsening symptoms.
