Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) released the following statement in recognition of Eid al-Adha.

“I wish all those celebrating Eid al-Adha in Southeast Michigan and around the world a safe and joyful holiday surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. This holiday honors the values of sacrifice and devotion and is an opportunity for all of us to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions that American Muslims make every day to our communities and our country. It is about community, giving back, being charitable, forgiving and seeking forgiveness. Let us all focus on the spirit and the value of what this day means. Eid Mubarak!”

Dingell co-led the introduction of H.Res. 556 - Recognizing the religious significance of Eid al-Adha and wishing Muslim Americans and Muslims around the world a prosperous holiday.
