The City of Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations (OSI) is accepting applications for its sixth group of A2ZERO Ambassadors, which will launch in March 2024. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Feb. 14. The A2ZERO Ambassador Program provides insights, connections, collaboration opportunities and resources for individuals interested in helping the community achieve a just transition to community-wide carbon neutrality by 2030. Up to 25 individuals will be selected to participate. Interested community members can find the application link at a2gov.org/ambassadors.
The 12-week course covers a broad range of topics including:
- Equity and environmental justice.
- Community sustainability, climate change and climate action.
- Renewable energy.
- Water resources.
- Transportation.
- Circular economy.
- Local food systems.
- Resilience and emergency preparedness.
- Carbon neutrality.
The A2ZERO Ambassadors Program is modeled after the seven strategies of the A2ZERO Carbon Neutrality Plan, and more information can be found at a2zero.org.
