Eastern Michigan University's GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology is set to host a TechTalk featuring Mycah Slade, an associate engineer at ITC Holdings Corporation. The event will take place on Wednesday, November 20, at 4 p.m. in Sill Hall, room 124, and will also be accessible via Zoom.
The EMU TechTalk series provides students and faculty with the chance to connect with experts in engineering, technology, and related fields. These events offer insights into career paths, internships, and research opportunities available through the college.
"We are excited to welcome Mycah Slade to Eastern Michigan University," stated Mohamad Qatu, dean of the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology. "Her expertise and experience will offer invaluable insights to our students and faculty, highlighting the critical role of electrical infrastructure in sustaining and powering our daily lives."
Since its inception, the EMU TechTalk series has featured various industry leaders such as Brian Turnbull, mayor of Northville; Doug Wallace from the Northville Chamber of Commerce; Zach Wigal from Gamers Outreach; and John Bodary from Woods Construction and Interiors.
The upcoming event is open to EMU students, faculty, staff, and community members. After her presentation, attendees will have the opportunity for interaction during a Q&A session with Slade. This event is approved for LBC credit. Pizza and refreshments will be provided by ITC Holdings Corp.
