The University of Michigan Marching Band is set to perform a halftime show featuring music from the Broadway musical and film “Wicked” during the football game against Central Michigan University. The game will take place at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, with kickoff scheduled for noon on September 13.
This performance celebrates the upcoming sequel to the film, titled “Wicked: For Good.” The event will be a collaborative effort involving the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance. In addition to the marching band, performers will include a keyboard percussion ensemble from the Percussion Studio as well as vocalists and dancers from the Department of Musical Theatre.
Musical selections from “Wicked” are planned for the show.
