The City Of Ann Arbor - Government issued the following announcement on July 18.
Join the Freeman Environmental Youth Council for a virtual forum. Calling all AAPS rising 9th-12th graders who would like to engage in important environmental conversations this summer! During these “for students, by students” virtual events, Youth Council members will lead participants through an interactive presentation, with time for questions, discussion and brainstorming.
Students should register for these events using their AAPS email address. Meeting links will be emailed out on the day of the event.
We are hopeful that students from every high school will take part in these events and help us build a coalition of young people in our community who are dedicated to sustainability and protecting our environment!
There are two forums scheduled:
•"Eat for the Earth: Saving the World One Bite at a Time!" Thursday, July 23, 3-4 p.m.
• "Sustainability at Home!" Thursday, Aug. 6, 3-4 p.m.
Please direct any questions to the Freeman EE Center Youth Council (fre_environmentalyouthcouncil@aaps.k12.mi.us) or the club liaison, EE teacher Coert Ambrosino (ambrosinoc@aaps.k12.mi.us).
