City of Portage recently issued the following announcement.
In early August, Consumers Energy will begin line clearing work on Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) lines in the area noted on the map below.
LVD lines run through neighborhoods and connect to residences.
When trimming trees, Consumers Energy follows clearance standards that vary based on the voltage of nearby electric lines. Consumers Energy has notified affected property owners with a project postcard.
