City of Portage issued the following announcement on Aug 26.
Portage Parks & Recreation will host their final Friday at the Flats of the season on Friday, September 3 at Celery Flats Pavilion (7335 Garden Lane) from 4 to 8 PM. The event will include an array of dinner and dessert selections as well as live music from local performers.
On Friday, September 3, food vendors will include Blue Plate Food Truck, Eli Doces Churros, Ibison Concessions, Scott’s Pig Roast and Specialty Cheesecake and Dessert Company. Live music will be performed by Orchestra Jammbo'laya, a community project comprised of a diverse group of young musicians, local artists and teachers in an exploration of western musical instruments set to the African Diaspora aesthetics of music.
The event is open to the public and is FREE to attend. Food vendors accept cash, credit and debit. Seating is limited, but lawn space is plentiful so blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. We look forward to ending our Friday at the Flats series with you!
