City of Fenton recently issued the following announcement.
The park, near the City of Fenton's downtown and surrounded by West Shiawassee Avenue, West Elizabeth Street and Park Street, is a historic site once used to host town meetings. Civil War troops also mustered at the location before heading off to battle.
The new Veterans Memorial will include a pathway filled with memorial bricks, a sponsor area, flags honoring each branch of the U.S. military, a statue and a commemorative wall.
