City of Fenton issued the following announcement on Feb 18.
After a water main break near Owen Road and U.S. Highway 23 resulted in low water pressure, the City of Fenton has issued a precautionary boil water advisory.
The low water pressure may have allowed bacterial contamination into the water supply for the businesses along Owen Road from U.S. 23 to Alloy Road. That includes the Mobil / Tim Horton's, Taco Bell, McDonald's and Culver's.
The affected businesses have been informed to boil water before using or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food.
The advisory will last for at least 48 hours. When it is lifted, customers will be advised and that news will be posted here.
