We’ve all been waiting a long time — but an updated Keweenaw Time Traveler is finally coming! Please join us in celebrating the re-launch of the Explore app at 6pm on June 2nd, at the Carnegie Museum of the Keweenaw.
The new re-launched version will include:
• More historic maps
• More data — 630,000 records and almost 20 million variables from:
o Census
o City directories
o Calumet area school records
o Built environment data from historical maps
o And later this year 40,000 detailed records on former Calumet & Hecla Mining Company employees
• More intuitive and accessible interface redesigned with our partners at Monte of Houghton
• Same great opportunity to contribute what you know!
