Boil-Water Advisory Canceled After Successful Water Tests

A boil-water advisory issued on Saturday after a water main break has been lifted, as two consecutive sets of samples have tested as meeting standards.

Residents can once again drink water from their faucets or taps and use it for making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food.

The the following are the addresses had been under the advisory:

  • 600 to 631 Forest Drive
  • 704 to 809 Worchester Drive
  • 611 to 701 North Road
Stephen Guy, Fenton's water treatment superintendent, thanked the affected residents for their patience as the city repaired the main and waited on the test results.

"There were a lot of positive comments as we walked notices to the affected residents," he said. "People understood the situation really well."
