Eastern Michigan University has been recognized as one of the nation’s top 390 colleges and a leading institution in the Midwest, according to the 2025 rankings by the Princeton Review. The rankings are highlighted on PrincetonReview.com and featured in the 33rd annual edition of their flagship college guide, Best 390 Colleges: 2025 Edition.

Only about 15% of America’s 2,600 four-year colleges are profiled in the book. The Princeton Review selects colleges based on annually collected data from surveys of 2,000 college administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings. The company also reviews data from its surveys of college students attending the schools who report on their experiences at their institutions.

Key highlights about Eastern Michigan University from student surveys include:

- Professors are accessible and willing to go above and beyond to help them with any questions, projects, or future planning.

- Students are active on campus and diverse in their interests, pursuits, and backgrounds and thrive on teamwork and communication with each other.

- Diversity and inclusion are a priority, and many events about religion or culture help students and their peers connect.

- Campus life is dynamic and engaging, featuring over 150 student organizations and Division 1 athletics.

- A $200 million dollar investment in student housing has created two new student apartment buildings and renovations to virtually every other residence hall on campus.
