Eastern Michigan University's Eagle Crest Golf Club has been recognized as the ninth-best college golf course in the United States by GolfPass. The ranking is determined by golfer ratings and includes courses that are publicly accessible with at least ten reviews.

"This marks the second consecutive year that Eagle Crest Golf Club has been ranked among the top ten public university golf courses," stated Wes Blevins, general manager and director of golf at Eagle Crest. "This is a great accomplishment for Eastern as we continue to put efforts into making the golf course better every year and deliver a wonderful golf experience to all our students and guests."

Eagle Crest, designed by international golf architect Karl Litten, opened in 1989. It serves as the home course for Eastern Michigan University's men's and women's golf teams. The course offers an 18-hole layout suitable for various skill levels and ages. The recent improvements to hole 16, where dead trees were removed to enhance views of Ford Lake, were highlighted in the GolfPass ranking.

"Eagle Crest, as our university-owned golf course, is very instrumental in recruiting the world's best student-athletes and being able to practice daily on a championship golf course helps us to be prepared when we compete," said Andy Walker, head men's golf coach. "Eagle Crest is always in great shape, and with the panoramic views of Ford Lake, we are proud and fortunate to call it home."

GolfPass is owned by champion golfer Rory McIlroy along with NBC Sports Group. It provides members with discounted tee times, online lessons, video streaming options, travel credits, among other benefits.
