Schneider Electric's Dave Konye to speak at EMU's upcoming TechTalk

Eastern Michigan University's GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology will host a TechTalk featuring Dave Konye, director of Business Development–Mobility at Schneider Electric. The event is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, in room 124 of Sill Hall and via Zoom.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dave Konye as our TechTalk guest speaker,” said Mohamad Qatu, dean of the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology. “His expertise in sustainable mobility and cutting-edge energy solutions will provide our students and faculty with invaluable insights into the future of transportation and technology.”

The EMU TechTalk series aims to connect students and faculty with industry experts and emerging leaders in engineering, technology, and related fields. These sessions offer insights into careers, internships, and research opportunities within the college, promoting networking and professional growth.

Past speakers in the EMU TechTalk series include Mycah Slade from ITC Holdings Corporation; Brian Turnbull, mayor of Northville; Doug Wallace from the Northville Chamber of Commerce; and Zach Wigal, founder of Gamers Outreach.

During his presentation, Konye will discuss Schneider Electric's mission, vision, and global impact. He will highlight the company's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency while showcasing its role in driving innovation for a more sustainable future.

The event is open to EMU students, faculty, staff, and community members. After Konye’s presentation, attendees can participate in a Q&A session. The event is LBC credit-approved with refreshments provided.
