Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is set to host TRUEMU Night with the Detroit Red Wings on March 27, coinciding with a game against the Ottawa Senators. The event, starting at 7 p.m., offers fans an opportunity to show their support for both Detroit and EMU.

The exclusive ticket package includes a ticket to the game, a limited-edition co-branded Red Wings/EMU quarter zip, and a $5 donation to the EMU Student Emergency Fund. This fund aids students facing financial emergencies.

Prior to the game, attendees can join a pregame social hosted by the Alumni Engagement team at Elephant and Co. in downtown Detroit. The social begins at 4:30 p.m., though tickets for this event are separate from the game package.

Walter Kraft, vice president for communications at EMU, highlighted the importance of such events: "TRUEMU nights are a great way for Eastern Michigan students, faculty, staff, and alumni to get together for a fun night of camaraderie and school pride," he said. Kraft emphasized that attendees would receive "a limited supply of a limited-edition, co-branded Red Wings/Eastern Michigan quarter zip" and noted that each ticket contributes $5 to the Student Emergency Fund.

Founded in 1849, Eastern Michigan University is recognized as Michigan's second oldest public university. It serves nearly 13,000 students across various disciplines through its multiple colleges. EMU is frequently acknowledged for its excellence and commitment to applied education.
