Eastern Michigan University will host its annual Digital Divas Conference at the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology on April 11, 2025. The event, taking place at the Judy Sturgis Hill Building in Ypsilanti, aims to ignite interest in STEM among 300 middle school girls.

The conference is designed to inspire enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This year's event will feature educators, students, and industry experts who will provide insights and inspiration. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops covering topics such as construction, interior design, electrical engineering, chemistry, astronomy, physics, and esports.

“We are thrilled to provide young girls with a dynamic and engaging environment where they can discover the vast opportunities in STEM,” stated Mohamad Qatu, dean of the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology. “Our goal is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire the next generation of female innovators, creators, and leaders.”

Participating schools include Stevenson Middle School, Hope of Detroit Academy, Summit Academy North Middle School, and others. The conference is supported by sponsors like Toyota, Wacker, AAUW-Ann Arbor Branch, ITC, and DTE Foundation.
